The Story Behind The Wine
Ever wonder how Rosé gets it's signature pink hue? Contrary to popular assumption, all freshly squeezed grapes produce clear juice, regardless of the color of their skins. The final coloring of wine comes from allowing the grape skins to soak in their juice before fermentation. Rosé is made pink simply by reducing the amount of time the skins of the grape are in contact with the fruit juice. The skin contact time for a Rosé is typically around 12 hours while a red wine's skins soak in the juice for up to 7 days.
