Meet The Winemaker
Joao Palhoca is a certified enologist, winemaker, and proud part of the 5th generation Adega Fernão Pó Winery Whether he's working the fields, looking over accounts with his son, or helping his wife ensure that their customers feel at home, Joao considers winemaking a way of life. Among his favorite mediums is the Castelao grape, which grows exceptionally well in the local region due to the local combination of sandy soils and seaside breeze.

The Story Behind The Wine
In the old days of Portugal's Peninsula Setubal, families from all over the country would travel to their favorite vineyards to stock up on wine for the entire year.
