Personally hand-selected by the president of Drinjk Wines and considered to be one of our team’s favorites, it’s no surprise that this is a gold medal winning wine. Barrel aged for 18 months in a mixture of French and American oak, the complexity of dark berry fruits with the soft finish of vanilla is the perfect representation of how a quality wine should taste.

Stories behind the wine
When you see the name “Crianza” on a Spanish wine bottle, this is an indicator of how the wine crafted. By Spanish law to put Crianza on a wine label, the wine must be aged for two years with one year of that in oak barrels. The longer the wine is aged in oak barrels, the more you can expect to pay for that wine. It’s an expensive process. The cost is why you will see commercial wineries use oak chips and oak extracts as alternatives to try to achieve the same results. These oak alternatives are often found in wines under ten dollars.
