The Story Behind The Wine
In 1869, a French winemaker named Charles Schanno planted the first vines of Washington State's Yakima Valley, an area that shares a very similar latitude to Bordeaux, France. As it would turn out, Schanno's venture paid off with grapes that proved just as exceptional as those from the vines of Bordeaux, and the region has since evolved into one of the most underrated winemaking regions in the world. Fill in the Blank is a perfect example of the hidden gems you'll find in the very select micro-climate of the Valley's Northern region which was awarded its own Viticultural Appellation in 2006.
